Appleton Community Music, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2021, to provide fundraising support to sustain the Mile of Music festival and other original music experiences in downtown Appleton.

Launched in 2013, Mile of Music, the free original music festival (in downtown Appleton) has drawn up to 90,000 people from across the nation to Appleton each year since its inception and has an estimated economic impact of $4.5 million.

We are a joint venture with Mile of Music with these shared goals:

    1. Keep the Mile of Music festival a free event to attend.
    2. Ensure Mile of Music Festival’s future sustainability.
    3. Create an outstanding experience for artists through fair compensation and the Mile of Music Artists Hospitality and Care Program.

The Mile of Music Artist Hospitality & Artist Care Program offers artists who come to Appleton a long list of free wellness services, lodging/accommodations, food and beverage hospitality, and more. This program is a major factor in creating the welcoming and nurturing setting that Appleton has become for the touring artists who now call our community their second home. For ACM, building “The AHH Factor” – Appleton Hometown Hospitality – is a main goal.

Appleton Community Music, Inc. is responsible for raising the funds to pay festival artist fees and the costs of housing, feeding and caring for the artists who play the festival.

Attending Mile of Music is free, although creating a festival of this caliber is not.
